What the app does

Kuma Pulse is an Android client for a Uptime Kuma server that you host yourself. It shows monitor status, certificate and domain expiry, and can notify you when a status changes. It does not replace your monitoring and it does not probe your sensors.

Data stored on your device

The following stays on your phone, in app storage:

Server URL, connection name, and username, for each connection
Password, only until login succeeds, then a session token
Session token, kept for up to 30 days so you are not asked to sign in again
Per-connection setting for isolated servers
Muted sensors, so you can silence alerts for one monitor
App settings: theme, accent colour, notification preference, lock-screen glance
Last known status and duration, so the list shows immediately on open
Widget counts: up, down, certificates and domains under 30 days
A short local log of connection errors

We do not operate an account system and we do not receive this data.

Push notifications

To deliver alerts when the app is closed, the app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). On first open the app obtains an FCM token and sends that token to the notification relay at https://monitor.osmibit.si/kuma-hook. The relay stores the token so it can forward a status-change message from your Uptime Kuma server to your phone.

The message contains the monitor name, status (up or down), and a short result text. It does not contain your password or session token.

A second phone can join the same notification link with a code. That phone registers its own FCM token against the same link.

Firebase is provided by Google. Their processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

In-app purchase

Pro is an optional one-time purchase through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment. We receive a purchase token to unlock the features on that device. We do not receive your card details.

Connection to your server

The app connects directly to the Uptime Kuma server you enter. Monitor names, URLs, status, certificate info, domain expiry and history are loaded from that server over the network. That traffic goes to your server, not to us.

What we do not do

No advertising
No analytics or tracking SDKs
No sale of personal data
No account created with us
No probing of your sensors, certificates or domains from the phone

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Retention and deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes the data stored on the device. The FCM token on the relay is removed when it is no longer valid, or you can ask us to delete it at info@osmibit.si.
